Search engine giant Google has introduced a new set of consumer storage plans on May 14, 2018. Google has added a new $2.99 per month tier for its 200 GB storage and has dropped the price of its 2 TB plans from $19.99 per month to $9.99 per month. It has also dropped its $9.99 per month 1 TB plan. Moreover, the company has rebranded its storage plans with a new name Google One instead of Google Drive.

The users can now share their storage quota with up to five family members. This means that it has now become easy to share 100 GB with 4K videos and high resolution pictures with ease. However, another feature has explained the new brand name which is the free one tap access to Google Experts who will help the users in case of any help in terms of any Google consumer product and service.

The users can have free access to live experts, which are not the barely functional AI chatbot. The feature comes with every Google One Plan including the $1.99 per month 100 GB plan. The experts will be available 24/7 in the US over chat, phone and email. But the online support might vary in other countries. Still the company has said that it aims to provide the users with excellent one-tap support and wishes to improve it with time. The search engine is already providing 24/7 support for the G Suit users and this is the first time it is actively offering live support for consumers.

At the same time Google stresses that the existing free quota of 15 GB will remain the same. Apart from access to experts, Google has also promised to provide subscribers with other benefits. Larissa Fontaine, the director of Google One said that the other benefits can include discounts on hotels that your find on Google Search.
