Pebble technology corporation recently unveiled the Pebble Time. The company has opened pre-orders of the steel variant of the smartwatch on its official website. The Pebble Time Steel is now available for pre-orders and that the shipments of the device will begin in 6 to 8 weeks.
The recent announcement has revealed that the Pebble Time Steel will begin shipping to the customers sometime in September, 2015. The new Pebble smartwatch will add a class to the smart timepiece due to the steel case. But that does not mean that even the straps of the watch will be of steel.
While opening the pre-orders the company has said that it has opened pre-orders for the Pebble Time Steel with genuine Italian leather band. The steel bands will be available by the end of the year and will come as a separate order. The leather strap timepiece costs $249. The watch interface is available in brushed silver, gold and Gunmetal Black.
The users of the watch can buy the steel bands separately for $50. The users will have three choices in bands matte black, silver and gold. The new timepiece by Pebble has a great design and functionality and lacks behind due to the limited number of applications.
