The single board computer ‘Raspberry Pi model B’, has received an update. The Raspberry Pi model B has launched with a doubled computer RAM from 256 MB to 512 MB. The good news is that the additional memory does not come at any extra cost.

The upgrade will also allow the British-based micro computer company to run the Android 4.0 operating system in future. The units of the upgraded devices began shipping on October 16, 2012 and those who have already applied for the device can automatically get an update. The company in a blog post said that they have received suggestions to produce a more expensive Model C version.
