South Korean giant LG is all set to launch its G Flex smartphone which has a curved display. The device will be launched in the first quarter for the carriers like Sprint, AT&T and T-Mobile. The company will reveal the pricing later.
The features of the smartphone includes a 6 inch a curved OLED display, 13 mega pixel rear facing camera and Google’s Android 4.2.2 mobile operating system which is also known as Jelly Bean. In terms of the benefits of the smartphone, LG has claimed that the users will have a better experience as it is distinctively curved and the flexible design follows the contour of the face.
The new G Flex will also have a Quick Theatre for accessing photos and videos from the locked screen and a Dual Window so that two apps can be opened simultaneously. Phones with curved display is the next happening feature in the smartphone segment. Manufacturers will continue to look for innovative ways to increase the interest of the users in the market.
Samsung has earlier unveiled the Galaxy Round which has a roll effect for the users to view the date time or missed calls. Moreover, in the month of November, there were reports that even Apple was looking for new versions of the device with curved displays.
