BlackBerry fans will be looking forward to the release of the new Z10, even as AT&T announce that they will be selling the new device for USD 199.99 from March 22, 2013. The announcement was made on Monday morning and the company will be opening up pre-sales for the new phone on Tuesday, March 12, 2013.
The BlackBerry Z10 will be the first smartphone from BlackBerry to run on the 4G LTE network that belongs to AT&T. The phone will be BlackBerry’s main draw in terms of regaining the smartphone market, as it hopes to make its presence felt once again. The AT&T network is now available in 143 markets.
The new Z10 has a 4.2-inch display and features a touchscreen, which is a deviation from the regular BlackBerry keypad-based phones. It is also being touted as the most advanced and fastest BlackBerry phone to hit the market.
The senior vice president of devices and developer services for AT&T Mobility – Jeff Bradley, said that customers will be able to continue to have the same secure experience on the Z10, as they would have with other BlackBerry phones. He went on to say that AT&T customers would be the first to experience the phone and that they were very excited be part of this new journey.
