US smartphone giant Apple might have fought several legal battles in terms of patent issues. Now however, it seems like it has learnt a lesson and has decided to not mess with the Swiss Railways. SBB, Switzerland’s railway operator said that last month they had accused Apple of allegedly stealing the design of its clock for the iOS 6’s Clock app.
Apple has now agreed to pay SBB for the design and license, instead of taking the risk of fighting it over in court. SBB released a statement which said that for the use of the SBB station clock in devices like iPad and iPhone, the Swiss Federal Railways SBB and Apple have agreed to sign a license agreement.
