US based computer manufacturer Dell, has announced the new systems which will run on Windows 8, Microsoft’s new operating system. The new range of laptops have been launched despite the fact that Microsoft is yet to launch Windows 8 officially.
Dell has launched its XPS 12 convertible Touch Ultrabook , which is a combination of a laptop and a tablet. The laptop has been priced at $199.99 the base configuration comes with a 12.5 inch full HD display. The XPS 12 has an Intel Core i5 3317U Ivy Bridge processor.
Other configurations include a $1,399.99 version with a Core i7- 3517U CPU and 8 GB of RAM. Another version is its $1,499 model which doubles RAM and SSD capacity. The $1,699 full Enchilada comes with a Core i7 processor, 8 Gb RAM and 256 Gb SSD memory. Apart from laptops, the company has also launched its all-in-one desktop PC’s, which have touch capabilities for Windows 8.
Dell has launched the XPS One 27 which has a large 27 inch screen and is powered by an Intel Core i5 – 3330s Ivy Bridge processor, 6 GB RAM, 1 TB hardware and a DVD burner, along with built-in Wi-Fi. The all–in-one desktop PC is priced at $1,599.99, but there are also offers on a lower cost PC – Inspiron One 23 – which has been priced at $779.99.
