Google Backup and Sync services

Search engine giant Google announced a while back about introducing a feature that will allow the users to back up more data than ever. Google kept its promise and introduced Backup and Sync, a service that allows users to back up any file. The new feature is currently live and can be tried on MAC and other Windows PCs.

Google has further informed that the new tool will be a replacement for the already existing Google Photos desktop uploader and Drive for MAC or PC.

“It’s a simpler, speedier and more reliable way to protect the files and photos that mean the most to you”.

The new tools Backup and Sync works on Google Photos as well as Google Drive and that the users have to just select which folders have to be backed up. The service will take care of the rest.

The best part is that the users can install a new app which will automatically upload the files on the devices which are connected to the computer. The devices include SD cards, cameras and others. After the files are backed up, the files can be accessed from any device which has Google Drive installed in it. The photos and videos can be found in the Google Photos app. The users who have Google accounts can use Backup and Sync for free.

Moreover, the users have to also ensure that they have enough cloud storage available before they start backing up the files or the entire computer. The users of Google service can read more about the new feature and make the best use of it according to their convenience. Only for the G Suit customers, the Backup and Sync will work in a little different way.
