Ektra Has Been Made Specially for Photographers
Kodak has released a camera photo-oriented smartphone called the Kodak Extra with a $550 price tag in Europe and the UK. The camera-phone comes a week barely after Google launched its critically-acclaimed Pixel phone that stole features from Apple’s face.
The Kodak Extra smartphone borrows from its 1941 rangefinder and the 110 film range camera of the 1970s. The phone has the looks of a camera with curved grips on one of its sides. It also has black leatherette, a protruding lens of 21 MP Sony sensors and a physical shutter button labeled K. Kodak Extra is designed best for landscape photographs targeting professional photographers.
The Kodak’s smartphone has powered from the Android’s Marshmallow (Android 6.0), an Helio X20 2.3GHz of a deca-core processor with a 3GB RAM power. Kodak Extra has an expandable memory of a microSD card to supplement the rather wanting internal standard memory of 32GB for serious photographers. There are a lot of exciting features the photo brings in the world of photography including the advanced manual mode that gives a special experience such as exposure, ISO, white balance, the focal length in manual and auto mode, aperture and the shutter speed that was missed by iPhone users. The fast focus of the 21MP Kodak Extra combined with the dual LED flash gives intended professional touch of photography.
The Smartphone is a product of the Bullitt Group and not the Kodak Company as anyone may guess. The ex-Motorola employee founded Bullitt Group was licensed to the Kodak brand name after the company hit financial problems four years ago. Kodak Extra Smartphone’s manufacturer majority staffs have ground from the fallen Motorola phone manufacturing company that are now making use of their once very useful skills in the handset manufacturing industry.
The smartphone is a promising exceptional piece of technology to hit in various corners of the world market for photographers to bring together both phone and camera in a professional way like never before.
