Social networking site Facebook has launched the new mobile app on August 23, 2012 for the users of Apple iPhone and iPad. Facebook has said that it would speed up the performance of the people accessing the world’s biggest social network.
The new app is the major update for the iOS. Mick Johnson, the Facebook product manager said, “The new app is a major update to the Facebook for iOS rebuilt from the ground up, to focus on one thing, performance”. Johnson added that with the usage of the app on the Apple devices would allow the users to perform many and better functions.
