US based tech giant is desperate to get the users have Windows 10 on their devices. The company has taken a new step on getting people to upgrade to Windows 10 operating system. Reports have said that some of the users of Windows 7 and 8 were automatically updated without being intimated.
A month back it was reported that Microsoft is downloading the images of Windows 10 to the computers who’s owners have not opted for the upgrade. The US software giant is yet to give any answers in terms of the update and but there was a note from Mike Wallace, who observed that a number of patches for Windows have been reissued.
Later it was realized that Windows 10 was being manifested automatically. This might not be installed automatically but can be ticked as a default option in the optional updates in the Windows Update. This means if the user clicks on update all for the patches the system will get upgraded instantly. The company then released a statement confirming that it is a mistake.
Microsoft said, “As part of our effort to bring Windows 10 to existing genuine Windows 7 and Windows 8.1 customers, the Windows 10 upgrade may appear as an optional update in the Windows Update control panel”. The new versions of the Windows 10 are currently being tested on the Insider Programme.
