Canadian smartphone manufacturer Blackberry has announced its partnership with search engine giant Google. Blackberry is known for its highly secure security suites and together with Google it is all set to work on more secure Android operating system especially for the enterprises.
It can be said that the deal is perfect for both the companies as Google has the most popular mobile operating system Android. In recent times the Edward Snowden revelations has affected the reputations of Google as well as other companies.
Blackberry had once a large market share but in recent times it hardly popular and is struggling in the smartphone segment. A partnership with Google can give the company a hope for good revenues. Blackberry on its website said, “New features are now available through Android and BES12 that enable organizations to further secure enterprise and personal data on Android devices, set new levels of hardware based encryption.”
The Canadian company added that it will ensure tight integration with Google Play for Work and will also work on increased application management. The two giants will be working towards the integration of Blackberry’s enterprise device deployment service to Android 5.0 Lollipop. The new partnership will provide a good credibility towards the reports of an Android phone by Blackberry.
