Cat B15Q Android KitKat smartphone has finally been unveiled.
Telecom giant Cat has unveiled its latest rugged smartphone – B15Q – which is powered by the latest version of Android KitKat. The B15Q has become the first smartphone available in the global market to support KitKat, which is the latest version of the Android OS.
The features of the smartphone include a faster processor with better Bluetooth connectivity, LED Flash added to the HD camera. The device has a bigger speaker with noise cancellation dual microphone. The phone has been built to withstand a 1.8m drop on concrete and can be submerged in one meter of water for 30 minutes.
The smartphone also has the ability to withstand temperatures from -25 degrees to 55 degrees Celsius. The B15Q has Waves Audio for professional studio quality sound tools, SwiftKey to type in a easier, faster and less frustrating way, coupled with Ocearch global shark tracker.
Oliver Schulte, the COO of Cat Phones said, “With the Cat B15Q we have taken consumer feedback on board from its predecessor and added, for example, the B15Q has a faster processor and improved imaging capabilities”.
The COO added that this is the first rugged handset empowered with KitKat Android to be available globally. So users now don’t have to choose between durability and latest Android features as the B15Q has it all wrapped into one smartphone.
