Tech giant Microsoft has unveiled its latest PC drivers for Xbox One controllers.
US based software giant Microsoft has released new PC drivers for the Xbox One controllers. This means that the controllers can now also be used for your computer games. The drivers will soon be launched through a Windows update but they can be downloaded from today – June 5, 2014.
Microsoft released a statement which said, “We know our fans have wanted PC compatibility, and we know they wanted to be able to use the Xbox One controller with the same games and applications they have been playing with using the Xbox 360 controller”. The statement added that they are excited for the users to experience the improved D-pad which is equipped with a redesigned battery compartment and offset analog sticks combined with a comfortably new suave design.
After the drivers have been installed, the Xbox one controller will work with any game which features a game pad support for the Xbox 360 controller. The gamers have to just download the drivers and connect the controller to the PC through a micro USB cable and it is ready for gaming.
Microsoft had earlier released teasers in May 2014 indicating that the PC Drivers will be released soon. Earlier in this week, it was announced by Xbox chief Phil Spencer that they need to work more on gaming for Windows.
