Laptop manufacturer Toshiba has announced its 13.3-inch Chromebook in the UK market and the new device will soon be available in the stores. The Chromebook has been priced at £249 and will be a wallet-friendly laptop which runs on Google’s cloud-friendly OS.
The device has a silver finish, a resolution of 1,366 x 768 and is quite portable, being just 20 mm thick and weighing 1.5 kg. The laptop is powered by an Intel Celeron ULT processor which runs at 1.4 GHz, has a 2GB of RAM and a 16 GB of SSD for local storage which is backed up with a 100 GB of cloud storage located on Google Drive.
The hardware of the device is not that impressive and is the standard one for a Chromebook. The good part is that the device is slim, which makes it convenient to carry anywhere. The marketing director of Lifestyle Products at Toshiba Europe, Matt McDowell said, “It’s an all-in, fast and user-friendly Chrome OS device – which makes it ideal for everyone from business professionals looking for new ways of working, to consumers who already use the cloud, to students looking for a light, fashionable and affordable device.”
McDowell went on to say that every kind of customer has the flexibility to move from editing the documents to browsing or playing apps online or offline.
