Popular micro-blogging site Twitter is turning 8 on March 21, 2014 and it plans on celebrating the big day by doing something special: enabling users to find out what their first ever tweet was. A brand new site has been created for this purpose and has already taken the social network by storm.
The new site is called first-tweets.com and users just need to enter their Twitter username and will immediately receive the first ever tweet they posted. Another interesting feature is that the site enables users to see not only their first tweet, but they can also pull out first tweets which have been posted by other people.
The popular TV host and actress Ellen Degeneres took social media by storm ever since she hosted the 2014 Oscars and posted a record-breaking and star-studded selfie and her first tweet was, “Tis my first twitt-er. Or tweet? Twit? Or tweet? “Twit or tweet everybody.” Is this anything?”
Twitter posted on its official blog that users can celebrate their first tweet by using the Tweet tool and can look back in order to find their first Tweet, or anyone else’s, be it best friend, favorite comedian, celebrity or a president.
