Telecom operator AT&T is rolling out Android 4.4 KitKat update for Galaxy S4 users. Users of Samsung handsets can start checking their devices through the software update in their smartphones’ settings.
The update is expected to be rolled out in the upcoming few days. The new KitKat update is expected to bring a number of noteworthy changes. The most specific change will be the compatibility with Samsung Galaxy Gear, as well as the ability to drag and drop to uninstall apps. Meanwhile, AT&T has promised an improved call quality on its part.
The update will be a huge one and will weigh between 412 MB and 842 MB, depending on which version of Android the user is currently using. Due to its massive size, the telecom company will allow download only on Wi-Fi connections. The Galaxy S4 has become one of the several Samsung devices to receive the Android KitKat update.
The company recently rolled out KitKat update for many of its popular Galaxy handsets. Meanwhile, Verizon and T-Mobile are taking their time when it comes to testing the ports, but it most likely will not be long until subscribers of the two providers get the chance to test out the Android KitKat.
