Recent reports have claimed that console manufacturing giant Nintendo will soon be venturing into the smartphone market. However, contrary to these reports, the company stated that, so far, it does not have any plans to offer mini games on smartphone platforms.
These reports came following the statement from the company’s CEO, who said that Nintendo will use smart devices in order to better promote its games, characters and hardware. Satoru Iwata, the CEO of Nintendo will release a statement soon, on behalf of the company.
The company clarified, “During such past announcements Mr. Iwata has also stated that Nintendo’s intention is not to make Nintendo software available on smart devices and as such, we can confirm that there are no plans to offer mini-games on smartphone devices. “
There were reports that the company might provide something from mini games to background stories and this story spread like wildfire among gaming enthusiasts online. So far, Nintendo has been sticking to its own products and services and hardly ventures out, so the company might have to think of something new when it comes to its strategy. On January 29, 2014, Nintendo announced some disappointing finances, which include a 30 percent decline in profits and lower sales of the Wii U.
