As the information is coming directly from the French operator, it can be predicted that the story makes reference to France, however, it can be expected that the release of KitKat update will happen at the same time for other countries. On the other hand, the official site also mentioned that the upgrade will be available sometime in November 2013 or December 2013, so that G2 smartphones can receive the upgrade before HTC One.

The officials have revealed that KitKat upgrade will be distributed by OTA, which is over-the-air mode. The package in the OTA can be downloaded and installed by connecting a smartphone to the Internet, so users do not have to connect it to the computer physically.

Competitor Sony also announced that it will soon roll out a list of the models which will receive Android 4.4 KitKat upgrade. One of the models will include Xperia Z1, which is marketed with Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean.
