After a long time, software developer Google is getting ready to unveil the next version of its mobile operating system. The search engine giant started sending out invitations for an Android event which will be held on July 24, 2013, where the company will be unveiling the next iteration of the mobile operating system.

However, invitations sent out to members of the press do not suggest or hint much about the event, but they merely summon the press for breakfast with the new Android chief Sundar Pichai. The event will take place in San Francisco and the invitation hinted that the event will be streamed online.

The search engine is unable to give out any clues, but it is widely expected that the company will unveil the next release of Android, which is expected to be named Android 4.3 Jelly Bean and not version 5.0, as it was previously rumored. The upcoming launch can prove to be valuable for the company, as Apple is also preparing to launch its iOS 7.

There are also speculations that Motorola will be launching its Moto X smartphone which runs on Android 4.3 Jelly Bean in the upcoming weeks. The new Android 4.3 is not expected to be a game changer, but it will bring certain updates.
