South Korean electronics manufacturer Samsung has unveiled the new Galaxy S4 Zoom on June 12, 2013. The new smartphone is the latest version of the flagship phone which has a 10x optical zoom. The new S4 Zoom looks like a combination of the Galaxy S4 Mini and the Galaxy Camera.
Looking on one side, the phone looks like a familiar smartphone interface, while the other side has a camera with a 16-megapixel CMOS sensor with optical image stabilizer and Xeon flash. Samsung released a statement, which said, “It is the ultimate smartphone and camera experience in one, and the only device you’ll ever need”.
The features of the device include a 4.3-inch 960X540 display and it runs on Android 4.2 Jelly Bean with 1.5 GHz dual-core processor. The device also has a feature known as the Zoom Ring, which means that if the user is on a call and he/she spots something that they want to share, then the Zoom Ring can be twisted in order to activate an in-call photo share feature.
The picture can be snapped and sent through text to the person with whom the user is talking. The Zoom Ring provides quick access to Quick Launch and Shortcut features for speedy access to features like Auto, Gallery and Smart Mode.
