Soon the passengers of the EasyJet will be able to use the facility of passing through the Manchester Airport with the help of their mobile phone, to board their flights. New mobile boarding passes will be introduced at six airports including Manchester, as well as London, Stansted, Edinburgh, Amsterdam, Southend and Nice. Initially, it will be available to iPhone and the Android users and will allow passengers to check in less than ten seconds.
With the help of the app, passengers will be able to search and book flights; add luggage and sports equipment and will also be able to check flight departures and arrivals. Later this year, the app will be made available to Windows Phone and BlackBerry users.
Peter Duffy, the Marketing director of EasyJet said, “We are really pleased to be trialling mobile boarding passes – we know from passenger feedback that it will be a popular addition to our award-winning app. Building on the success of the app, which is the fastest airline app on the market, mobile boarding passes is the next important step in our aim to make travel easy and affordable.”
Duffy went on to say that after the successful trials, they will be working with each of the airports to roll out the functions.
