Premium watch brand, Fossil has reportedly announced the latest addition Q Control for the Gen 3 portfolio of the company. The new smartwatch is powered by the Snapdragon Wear 2100 with Android Wear 2.0 OS. Fossil’s new Q Control has a circular face with a diameter of 45 mm. The smartwatch comes with silicone straps which are removable thus, making it compatible with the standard 20 mm straps.
Reports claim that the device has a 768 MB RAM with an internal memory of 4 GB. The Q Control also comes with 5 ATM water resistance rating which makes it suitable for swimming. The Android Wear 2.0 makes the device compatible with the operating systems which are newer than the iOS 9 or Android 4.3. The device can be connected to the phone with the help of Bluetooth 4.1 but does not have a WiFi support.
There is a heart rate sensor at the back of the smartwatch just beside the four metallic charging pins. Some of the features of the Q Control include a small LED light with a microphone for talking to Google Assistant and making calls. The company has also included the touch sensitive bezel which allows scrolling through the options on the operating system, Android Wear 2.0 which is similar to the Gear S series by South Korean giant, Samsung.
The new Fossil Q Control has been put on sale on its website and has been priced at $275 with free shipping option in the US.
