Speed cameras to return to UK roads

The speed cameras are now trying to make a come back in the UK. The new speed cameras will be more efficient than ever, courtesy digital technology. Reports say that 21 of the 33 safety partnerships are now installing the new digital speed cameras.

The new cameras can effectively take pictures and can never go out of film. The images of the speeding motorists are straight sent to the control room due to which they are much cheaper to run. It has also been predicted that the number of speed cameras will increase by almost half in the next 12 months. The minimum fine for speeding is also expected to raise from £60 to £90.
