American retailer Wal-Mart will start carrying a $99 Boxee TV set top box at 3,000 locations nationwide, from November 1, 2012. Avner Ronen, the Boxee CEO said that a Wal-Mart partnership could deliver a big launch for its set top box.

The product was announced by Boxee earlier this month, and called it ‘No Limits DVR’. The new device connects to the TV set, and it does not have on-board storage, but acts like a DVR due to Cloud storage. Moreover, over-the-air programming can be watched with the help of its built-in antenna. With the help of the antenna, users can record over-the-air programming right from the device, which will cost $14.99 per month.
