Microsoft sends out invitations of October 6 surprise event

Invitations have been sent out to the media by US software giant Microsoft for introducing some of the new devices that run on Windows 10. The event will be held on October 6, 2015 in New York at 10 am E.T. The software giant is planning to stream the event live.
There are expectations that the company might unveil the flagship Windows 10 phone that it promised to launch before the end of the year. Even an update on the Surface tablet is expected to be launched. The upcoming launch event will be of high importance for the CEO Satya Nadella as the company has been struggling to compete in the mobile market.
Moreover, the phone business of Microsoft has no scope as the company is at present selling a few Windows Phones. The invitations have been sent out after Apple held its annual gathering and rolled out new iPhones and other products in the market.
Microsoft shows two new phones at the Mobile World Congress trade show in Barcelona in March. They were mid ranging devises that were targeted for the emerging markets and not the new flagships running the company’s flagship software. There are also possibilities that Microsoft might unveil some details about the new Surface.
