Apple to launch Mac Pro on December 19, 2013 in US

US tech giant Apple announced on December 18, 2013 that the high-end Mac Pro is all set to go on sale on December 19, 2013. The recent announcement will make tech enthusiasts want to add another gadget to their gift list this holiday season.

The new Mac Pro features cylindrical tower which offers a different look than the earlier Apple desktops, targets the high-end of the market and will come with a price tag of $3,000. With the new product, the company is highlighting the device’s power as its main selling point. Apple will be focusing on how the Mac Pro can be useful for professional and semi-professional music producers, photographers and videographers in its presentations.

The new Mac Pro will come with a 3.7 GHz quad-core Intel Xeon E5 processor, 12 GB of RAM and two FirePro D500 graphics processing units, as well as 256 GB of flash storage. The company will also offer another version of the Mac Pro, which will cost $4,000 and will feature a different processor and more RAM.

In addition to that, Apple will offer the option to upgrade to 1 TB of flash storage. With this amount of power, the device is definitely not aimed at casual users or even regular home computer users.
