Finnish mobile company Nokia is trying its best to offer new phones at affordable prices. With this in mind, the company recently introduced the new Nokia 108 and the Nokia 108 Dual SIM, which are priced at $29. Both models will have the expandable storage capacity of up to 32 GB.
The standby time for the Nokia 108 model is up to 31 days and up to 25 days for the Nokia 108 Dual SIM. These are the first two phones within this low-price range released by Nokia.
Timo Toikkanen, the executive vice president, Mobile Phones in a statement said, “There remains a huge segment of the global population that has yet to own a camera phone. For the next billion people and beyond, we aim to bring new mobile experiences to ever-lower price points. Nokia 108 and Nokia 108 Dual SIM are examples of this commitment”.
The recommended retail price of the Nokia 108 and the Nokia 108 Dual SIM if $29, excluding taxes and subsidies. The statement added that the handset is expected to begin shipping during the last quarter of 2013. Nokia is these days struggling to survive next to other market dominators, like Apple and Samsung.
