In the month of August, 2012, online retailing giant Amazon had offered its Kindle DX at a 29% discount, which made it cheaper by USD 110. Now reports have alleged that the discounts were offered so as to clear off the unsold stock, as the company will no longer be selling the DX version of the Kindle.

However, people who still want to buy the Kindle DX need not be disappointed as it will be available through third party dealers on Amazon. The indication that the Kindle DX will no longer be available, came with the fact that there is no mention about when the new stock will arrive. Lately, Amazon unveiled its ‘Kindle Fire HD’ and Paperwhite devices.
