Consumer electronics manufacturer, Sony has suspended the sales of its Android based Xperia Tablet S. The sales has been suspended as a manufacturing defect was discovered. In some of the models, it appears that there is a small gap between the screen and the case, due to which the water could enter the device and damage its internal parts.
The device is supposed to be water resistant due to its special coating. Sony has blamed the problem on the Chinese company which assembles the tablets. The company has apologized for the flaw and has assured that it will repair any defective model free of charge beginning later this month.
