Shamoon malware detected by security companies

A piece of malware has been detected by the security companies which steals files from the infected machines and then makes the computer useless by overwriting their masterboot record. The researchers are at present investigating the piece of destructive malware which has the ability to overwrite the master boot record of a computer.

The security companies suspect that it is being used to target the attacks against the specific companies. It is known as the ‘Shamoon’ malware which began emerging from the security companies on August 16, 2012. Just like other malwares it steals information taking data from the users documents and setting and various other drives.
