Toys R Us sued by Fuhu over patent issue in US

Juvenile products retailer, Toys R Us is being sued in the US over the allegations that it stole one of its former partner’s trade secrets to develop its own tablet. The company has been sued by Fuhu which is a Los Angeles based creator of the Nabi tablet, who claims that the company has copied their design, the user experience and the online services of the device.

The company Toys R Us used to have exclusive rights to sell Fuhu’s machine in the US but the deal has long back lapsed. At present the spokesperson of Toys R Us was unavailable for comment. Fuhu is partly owned by Taiwanese computer maker Acer and the gadget manufacturer, Foxconn and the memory chip producer Kingston.
